“Forest Club” by Philippe Starck
The Forest Club sofa has been created by the designer Philippe Starck, based on the western tradition in the manufacture of furniture and emphasizing craftsmanship and its resistance. Specifically, he has used a joining piece, called a clavet, which was used in the Middle Ages for the construction of seats and which recovers the essence of cabinetmaking. In addition, this solid ash wood detail allows the entire piece to be disassembled at the end of its useful life, facilitating its reuse or recycling. The piece will be exhibited in the Plaza de la Virgen during the World Design Street Festival.
As for its design, it is the shape of its own structure that closes the seat, generating the armrests that reflect the position of the body when sitting. Finally, its interior is made up of two cushions joined internally, which by forming a padded surface through foams of different thickness and density, makes it a highly comfortable sofa.
