Antonio Escario was a leading Spanish architect of the twentieth century with a prolific architectural career. He was awarded the distinction of Valencian Master of Architecture 2010-2012.

Among the main buildings he designed in the city of Valencia are the Promobanc Headquarters (currently the Social Security Treasury), the Ripalda Tower (better known as La Pagoda) and the Rectorate of the University of Valencia.
